My poster has a simple statement that drove my entire project, “Your best gift for her”. This poster and my project are targeted toward parents with young children. Using pathos to show the innocence of a young girl and her birthday party, it causes empathy towards the children that are uncontrollably affected by secondhand smoke. I incorporated this idea in my candy cigarette box, by showing the juvenile candy mixed with hints of the harsh reality of smoking. Pathos is shown within the statistics on the box itself and then also on the QR code that brings you to my app with a tab for stats. The app also includes a promotional video to be shown at the gas station, at the pump or on the shelf next to the cigarettes. Overall I hope to create a larger campaign with the use of the app and the various ads wherever cigarettes are sold by first pulling at these parents emotions, and then by informing them about the affects of secondhand smoke.

This commercial could be playing on the screen at the gas pump or inside on the shelf next to the cigarettes. The outside of the gas station could also showcase the campaign.
